About 9 min to Sunapee. The Lavender Room is one of 10 rooms in the historic Brook Road Inn. The rooms are rustic, in the building's historic style, and the Lavender Room offers a Queen bed for two and a private bath. The door locks from the inside and outside for privacy and safety. The room is located up a narrow staircase and shares a hall with 8 other guest rooms. This is a nonsmoking property. Room has one power outlet and no power outlet in bathroom. Inn was built in 1837.
The inn has been newly renovated. There is no kitchen use. There is a shared area with fridge, toaster, microwave. Although there is 24/7 video surveillance, staff isn't on the property at all times. Guests must be comfortable being self-sufficient from check-in to check out. The Wi-Fi is as good as it gets in this part of the state (25/2mb) and can be slow for those used to faster speeds.
