The living room, dining area, and compact kitchen share an open floor plan so you can carry out conversations whether someone is chopping vegetables in the kitchen or lounging about on the living room sofa, enjoying the warmth of the sun shining through the window. For entertainment, you'll have a flat screen cable TV, DVD player, and WiFi. So, while you're not out exploring, you'll have plenty of options for a night in here.
In the kitchen, there's everything you'll need to fix up some fresh fish, a hearty breakfast before spending the day on the water, or even a bowl of popcorn to accompany a movie night. There is a dishwasher here, but you can always let the dishes soak while you head to the patio to enjoy a pretty sunset. On nice evenings, you may want to fire up one of the property charcoal grills for an outdoor feast while you watch the tides change.
When you're tuckered out from your day exploring you'll find a king-size bed in the nicely decorated bedroom and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination to rinse away the sand.
This getaway will comfortably sleep up to six guests - there is also a sofa bed available in the living room and an alcove built into the hallway which has a set of built in twin bunks.
The home is ideally located right on the beach, at southwestern end of Galveston's renowned Seawall. You'll encounter sections of shoreline, mudflat, and channel if you choose to take your canoe to the bay. But, from your private, you'll have a wonderful view if you choose to stay on land.
Galveston is best known as a fishermen's paradise, where visitors can go surf fishing, deep-sea fishing, clamming in the mud flats, and crabbing off the docks. If you want to spend some time on the beaches, just cross the dune to the beach out front or the gorgeous Galveston Island State Park is only five miles away.
